Every BODY is different!

Updated: Nov 17, 2021

Hello and welcome to my first blog. One thing I have learnt over time is that every BODY is different. We all compare ourselves to others from a young age, this might be our friends, family, famous people or whoever.

All of our bodies change over time, we change in many ways, from child to a teenager, teenager to young woman, (for many) young woman to mother, mother to older woman and then much older woman. All of these changes are inevitable, that's life!

It is not smart to compare yourself to others as we are all are blessed with different shapes. You look at a group of 5 or so teenage girls next time at the shops. Teens usually try and wear the same fashion as their friends. The same brand, same colour, same shop, yet they have different body shapes, different heights, different hair colour/cuts/lengths and different weight.

The same wide leg pants and a tiny crop top might work for a few of them, yet on the others it might be making them look shorter and heavier. This is because the different body shapes need to wear the right cut and colour for YOUR shape.

Before you can truly create a great wardrobe full of gorgeous outfits, you need to know your body. What shape are you? What cuts should you be looking for to flatter that shape? What do you consider are your assets? What parts do you prefer to hide?

I challenge you to Google about body shapes, work out which shape you are and see what a v-neck top will do for you over a crew neck top. Why ruffles or pleats work for some people and look terrible on others. There are so many tips and tricks to dressing for your body.

If this interests you, contact me for a personal styling session and I can educate you in what will flatter your body, without you having to do all the research!

Thanks Kelly
